DESIGN & IMPLEMENTATION
Our Design & Implementation division brings together specialist capabilities in Rail Operations, Signals & Telecoms, Permanent Way, and Electrical infrastructure, covering everything from concept studies and feasibility analyses through to detailed design, project management, and commissioning.

The scope of Rail Operations Services extends from railway traffic studies through to train design, standard operating procedure development, train and locomotive scheduling, crew roster planning, rolling stock procurement, service implementation, regulatory compliance and rolling stock maintenance.

R&H Rail’s Signalling and Telecoms Department strives to provide optimal train control solutions that not only meet operational and logistic requirements but also comply with country-specific train operating philosophies, rules and specifications.

Perway
Permanent way design fits within the overall design process and is an integral component dictating not only the spatial layout of the design but also accommodating the operational parameters of the railway system.

At R&H we understand that the electrical infrastructure within railway projects forms an integral part of the multidisciplinary rail solution. c. Maintenance
Our maintenance division manages over 715 km of private sidings within the boundaries of Southern Africa, which collectively carry more than 70 million tons of cargo per annum. The involvement varies from quarterly routine rail and rolling stock condition inspections, to full time management of rail infrastructure maintenance contracts.

Training
R&H Rail offers high-quality accredited training programmes and industry-specific courses to public rail operators, private railway sidings, mining operations and port operations.
