To provide professional services for the maintenance management of four (4) Glencore private sidings, on the Perway and OHTE assets. The sidings are situated in the Coal fields of Mpumalanga Province.
PROJECT SCOPE
- The four Glencore sidings are made up of 28 kilometres of track.
- The sidings are: Goedgevonden, Arthur Taylor Colliery, Tweefontein, Minnaar and Witcons/Saaiwater
- Three of these sidings are of the balloon track type with loading undertaken from rapid load-out silo facilities
- Two of these sidings, being Goedgevonden and Tweefontein were designed by R&H while also executing the Project Management over their construction.
Solution
R&H has been appointed to have to perform asset maintenance management and rehabilitation of the rail infrastructure in the sidings, this include putting together the strategies to maintain the track infrastructure, the material replacement plan and mechanized maintenance activities on both the Perway and OHTE assets.
The other deliverables on this project is for R&H to assist Glencore in the procurement of the Contractor to perform the maintenance of the Perway and OHTE infrastructure in the sidings, to manage the contractor, plan the workload for the contractor and ensure the quality of work.
